The MAX3945ETE+T multi rate, low-power limiting amplifier is powered by a+3.3V power supply and optimized for use in fiber channel and Ethernet transmission systems, with a data rate of up to 11.3Gbps. The high-sensitivity limiting amplifier limits the signal generated by the transimpedance amplifier to produce a CML level differential output signal. All differential inputs and outputs (I/O) are optimized for 50 Ω back terminated PCB transmission lines. The MAX3945 dual channel limiting amplifier is equipped with programmable filters that can optimize sensitivity for different data rates and suppress relaxation oscillations that may occur in the optical system. The MAX3945 integrates two loss of signal (LOS) detection circuits and a programmable time shielded LOS output.

The 3-wire digital interface reduces the number of pins and enables control of LOS threshold, LOS polarity, LOS mode, CML output level, input offset correction, receive (Rx) polarity, Rx input filter, and Rx de emphasis without the need for external devices.

The MAX3945ETE+T is packaged in a 3mm x 3mm, 16 pin TQFN package.
